Every city has its own identity, an identity shaped and built by the very own individuals that inhabit it. We believe that it is the art of these individuals that shape each city that arise as what we now know to be familiar. The buildings and homes that surround us everyday are created and built by an artist. The paintings confined to frames or those that cover the walls or sidewalks are planned and executed by an artist. The connection of words to grow into a novel or to lyrics of a song is dreamt by an artist. The clothes that we wear, the bags that we carry, the jewelry we adorn ourselves with….all created by an artist. We believe that everything created has an inspiration behind it; and our vision is to share the inspired with the whole world.
Have you ever prepared to go on a trip to a new city and realized that you were lacking the apparel that would better suit your destination? While planning your trip, it is almost assured that you have set ample time solely for your shopping purposes; simply because it is known the shopping experience you will have will be completely different from that in your very own city. Not only does the landscape, an individual's accent, or common foods become altered and foreign when you travel, it becomes inevitable that the fashion would as well. Whether it is the eclectic fashion sense of New York or the barely there style from Miami, every city has a personality to offer that deems it original and truly special. As we have established each city as containing an art so different from each other, we have seeked out the designers from these cities and across the globe to represent where they hail from. Because of this, a tour through Nations becomes an experience through multiple fashion districts around the world. With the belief that fashion in each city is a unique art, we have purposely excluded the mass produced to focus on the creativity native to the city from which these designers arise.
We created Nations to fortify the most talented and unique designers through a platform in which they may share their ideas with the rest of the world. With the ideal that any individual can experience another area without physically being there, we have chosen its most original artists: the independent designer, to represent their city. It is through these designers that the life of every city can be understood; the time, thought, skill and construction that results in an unspoken design represents the culture, the nature and light of originality within our cities.
