angi n. JEWELRY - ATLANTA

Angi n. jewelry is the latest artistic passion of designer Terri Gasway. Terri, a native of Orange County California, started her career as a hairstylist 26 years ago. In 1993 her family moved to Georgia and now call Atlanta home. While raising two teenage daughters with the help of her husband, Terri is still enjoying a successful salon business today.
Always looking for new ways to express her creativity, Terri began studying the arts through drawing, photography and oil painting and has traveled to Europe several times to inspire her painting. Although these creative endeavors were very fulfilling, she discovered a new and spiritual outlet for her creativity.

In the fall of 2006 after the passing of her grandmother Angeline Newman, Terri inherited many precious items from her beloved grandmother. This collection contained vintage pearl, rosary fragments, medals, crosses and chains. Wondering what to do with literally pieces of things, she was inspired to begin creating jewelry. Turning old into new, the end result became a collection of meaningful keepsakes for her and her daughters.

The look achieved by layering these different textures was both eclectic and edgy with a current but vintage feel. Her unique designs were quickly receiving a lot of interest and excitement. Boutiques became interested in her handcrafted pieces, and after a wonderful response she soon was having several trunk shows.

"Many of my pieces are one of a kind, or limited edition because of the availability of my materials. I love searching for that unique patina in a chain or the evidence of years of wear exhibited in an old strand of pearls or a treasured medal, rosary or cross. The contrast of bold textured metals against a delicate vintage pearl chain is an example of a look that is current but still timeless…. Angi n. jewelry is dedicated to my grandma who has inspired me by her faith, heritage and tradition."
Terri has expanded her collection with an array of different metals and findings to create styles for many tastes…. traditional to trendy, classic to eclectic her pieces have something for everyone. Whether you're wearing your favorite pair jeans or that perfect little dress there is a piece ready to give your look its own unique personality.

You can find her pieces at Merci Beaucoup in Duluth, the Redtwig gallery in Alpharetta and Lisa Brown boutique in Sandy Springs.
