Carmen Celeste Bernett, also known by her nickname “Coco,” was born in Manila, Philippines and currently resides in the Washington DC area. She began knitting as a hobby among friends, which quickly grew into a passion. Carmen’s skills behind her creations are all self-taught. Loops & Sticks by Coco embraces a line that includes a variety of articles all hand knit and/or hand felted. Knitting became a “portable outlet” for her creativity; her inspiration stems from organic shapes and colors from nature, ranging from the bold to the muted. Her collections include scarves, shawls, bags and a variety of other accessories, as well as sweaters for humans and dogs.
